UTENA
Revolutionary Girl Utena (Shoujo Kakumei Utena) is, quite simply, the crack. It's one of those anime that you watch and after all it's brain-bending twists, you find yourself able to understand things you hadn't before (Aeon Flux is also good for this). The storyline is like a fairy-tale on acid and if you ever want to know what injecting LSD into your eyeballs is like, watch a few episodes of this series.
