  LYS

Lys is a rather eccentric undergrad student at University of Toronto - former aspiring musician, current overwhelmed stress-case, and future English BA hopeful. She owns many fannish obsessions, an overworked liver, and a large supply of 'Wake-Ups' - now, what does this tell you, children? Lys is currently working on several original projects as well as dabbling in the DCU, both of which she feels are of the happy. Send candy and chocolate, no flowers please, and feel free to worship at your own discretion. The Lys speaks in the third person because she is about 3 feet too far into the deep end.

  Warnings

All of the fiction on this page is based on the works of other talented people, unless otherwise noted. Lys is not personally affiliated with anyone as important as them, so it's pretty obvious she has no claim to these concepts and characters. Seeing as Lys just quit two of her three jobs, she's a little low on cash, so suing her is going to get you a whole lot of nothing.

This page contains stories that may or may not involve male/male relationships, swearing, death, and other things you see everyday on TV. If you don't like it then leave - and while you're at it, lock yourself in your room and destroy all connections to the outside world, because god forbid you be offended by real life. Just don't say I didn't warn you.

  Card Captor Sakura

Lys's singular (and not to mention short) tribute to Card Captor Sakura doesn't properly represent her love of the fluffy-bunnies that the series gives her. She thinks that it's nice to have a silly, happy show to fall back on every once and awhile, as a break from the rabid angstfest animes that she usually watches, and CCS perfectly fits the bill. She collected the manga and watched the show purely for the Touya/Yukito canon-style love, and so it's fitting that her once piece is so centered.

  DC Comics

The DC Universe is Lys's new (and currently only) fandom, in which she lives happilly with a large supply of good fanfiction and characters with honest to gosh DEPTH. (And issues. But we all knew that, I mean, just look at Batman.) Lys's stories are set in the Batman, Teen Titans, Superboy, World's Finest, and Young Justice comics, for the most part, with a large dash of Identity Crisis throw in, just for laughs angst. The main focus of her obsession is Timothy Drake, aka Robin III, who is a fucked-up little stalker-ish freak, yesheis! (And don't we all love him for it!) Expect Kon and Dick to also pop up with fair regularity.

  Digimon

Digimon was Lys's first fandom, and a much loved one. Sadly, however, she wrote for this series when she was very young, and the stories... Well, the stories quite frankly sucked. Recently, however, Lys has taken to Digimon again - except this time with a love of more ...mature... pairings. Hence, a new (and actually readable) fic was born. Who knows, now that she's hooked again, there could be more to follow.

  Dragon Ball Z

The Lys has watched and read Dragon Ball Z since her earliest days of fangirling, and despite her lack of writing for it, the show will always hold a soft spot in her heart. Her favorite character was, of course, Trunks, and pure boredom brought on her sole piece of DBZ fanfiction one day a year or two ago. Not the best writing, but a concept that amuses her none the less.

  Pirates of the Caribbean

Lys's dip into Pirates of the Caribbean was fast and furious, born purely out of love for both teh ghei and teh pretty, but died out just as quickly. Despite this, Lys is very pleased with the ways in which she rationalized her stories, and the quality of the writing she proved capable of. Happy, sometimes wistful, and occasionally downright silly, this fandom, and these stories, will always be looked back upon fondly.

  Tokyo Babylon

Tokyo Babylon. Synonymous with angst, pretty boys, and of course, the gay. How could the Lys resist? Well, she did resist... at least until one night, while she was in a drunken stupor, her best friend took advantage of her weakened state and plied her with plot bunnies. Thus, Lys's first (and only) Tokyo Babylon fic was born. ...And how she loves it so :)

  The Legend of Zelda

Run. Seriously, run while you can. The stories are old, the writing isn't particularily brilliant, and Lys's brief foray into The Legend of Zelda is only remarkable for the odd way in which she managed to drag the gay into a series that is very devoid of male characters. Lys does, however, hold a great deal of pride in that she thinks he Sheik/Link writings were some of the first (if not the first) in the fandom, and therefore preens whenever she sees another who has followed the trend. She dares anyone to find Sheik/Link yaoi writings that existed before the year 2000.

  Yami no Matsuei

Yami no Matsuei is a fandom that Lys wrote a great deal for, and which she is very glad she got into, as it led her to meet some amazing friends. She is a rampant fangirl of Tsuzuki/Hisoka, and tends to write mostly fluff surrounding them, as she thinks they deserves some happiness after the angstfest that was the series, dammit. There are, however, the occasional dark stories lurking here, so tread carefully ;)

Lys is a proud site auntie of the YnM archive Phantom Moon, which is a great place to check out quality YnM fanfiction if you just can't get enough of it here.
